Standard Solar, a subsidiary of Énergir, was founded in 2004, has grown into a leading commercial and community solar company, offering development, funding, and long-term asset ownership. After being acquired by Brookfield in 2022, the company gained access to large-scale capital, positioning it for significant growth in the clean energy transition.

As a solar developer, funder, and long-term asset owner, Standard Solar requires an ERP that can handle project-based accounting, asset lifecycle management, and financial forecasting for both short-term construction and long-term ownership models. Integration with energy production monitoring, O&M systems, and third-party funding platforms is also crucial. Additionally, as the company grows nationally, the ERP must support multi- entity structures and regulatory compliance across states.

Novamodus was selected as Énergir's Oracle Cloud Applications implementer for Standard Solar after a competitive bidding process that included several large implementers. The system has the ability to manage business functions related to all the different services Standard Solar provides. Novamodus was uniquely poised to deliver the solution due to a wealth of experience with change management.
Evolving Energy Future, Novamodus drives change forward
Standard Solar's implementation included Oracle Cloud Financials, Purchasing, Sourcing, Project Financials, Project Billing Contracts, and Supply Chain Management, providing a unified platform to enhancing efficiency and visibility across their development, funding, and asset ownership activities.
Starting in March 2018, Standard Solar's move from a Tier 3 ERP to Oracle Cloud brought challenges, including unfamiliar system controls and a small user base with multiple responsibilities. The company also needed detailed serial number tracking across projects and a solution that could support its roles as a utility, project manufacturer, and electricity distributor.
Novamodus addressed these needs by guiding users through the transition with targeted change management and training. They implemented serial number tracking using standard Oracle features and configured the system to support Standard Solar's diverse operations, delivering a flexible and scalable solution tailored to the company's unique structure.
In October 2018, Standard Solar's Oracle Fusion Cloud transformation successfully went live on-time and within budget. Standard Solar engaged Novamodus for Application Managed Support (AMS) and had add-on applications implemented as well.
