Calgary International Airport (YYC) serves as a critical hub for both passenger and cargo traffic, welcoming 18.5 million passengers and managing 4,946 cargo landings in 2023. YYC faced a challenging task to select a new ERP system. An airport faces unique challenges such as the need to integrate complex operations across passenger services, cargo handling, facility management, and regulatory compliance. The system must support 24/7 operations with high reliability, handle large volumes of real-time financial and logistical data, and accommodate diverse stakeholders including airlines, vendors, and government agencies. Additionally, scalability, security, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing travel demands are critical factors. Oracle Fusion Cloud emerged as the solution for YYC's complex business needs.

To manage their Financials, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain operations, YYC selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications as their system of choice, implementing modules including Financials, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Procurement, and Supply Chain Management to support and streamline their core business functions.
Starting in April 2021, the project launched under challenging conditions, with fewer resources than originally planned due to the constraints of the ongoing pandemic. Novamodus responded quickly, deploying a team of skilled consultants to fill the gap and ensure the project maintained momentum and quality from day one.
Change management played a pivotal role in the project's success, enabling a smooth and efficient transition from YYC's legacy EPM system to Oracle Cloud EPM. This seamless shift was achieved with minimal disruption to operations, thanks to close collaboration, effective training, and a proactive communication strategy.
In January 2022, YYC's Oracle Fusion Cloud transformation successfully went live on time and under budget. To ensure long-term system stability and performance, the Calgary Airport Authority chose to engage Novamodus for Application Managed Support (AMS), a strategic partnership that continues to deliver value today.
