Rocky Mountaineer is a luxury rail operator offering iconic train journeys through Western Canada and the American Southwest. Since its inception in 1990, the company has provided world-class travel experiences that showcase some of North America's most stunning landscapes.

Rocky Mountaineer faced complex integration challenges due to a diverse application landscape, including Salesforce, Coupa, Concur, and UKG, each requiring different extraction methods. The project demanded reliable integrations with NetSuite, along with custom revenue recognition and FX calculations.

Following a competitive selection process, Novamodus was engaged to deliver complex integrations between Rocky Mountaineer's core operational systems and NetSuite using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
Streamlining Scenic Journeys with Future-Ready Solutions from Novamodus
Rocky Mountaineer selected Oracle Integration Cloud to streamline and modernize its financial data flows across a diverse system landscape. While no Oracle application modules were implemented, the project focused on building robust integrations between Salesforce, Coupa, Concur, UKG, and NetSuite which enabled automated processing of bookings, purchase orders, payables, expenses, and payroll journals.
Starting in November 2023, Rocky Mountaineer began its Oracle Integration Cloud project with several key challenges, including integrating data from multiple third-party systems, each with different extraction methods, and building a reliable, automated financial data flow to NetSuite.
To address project complexities, Novamodus worked closely with Rocky Mountaineer's external vendors to understand each system's integration requirements and built tailored solutions accordingly. The team leveraged OCI Queues to decouple extract and import processes, ensuring stability and reliability. Despite high turnover, Novamodus maintained momentum through detailed documentation on Rocky's DevOps platform and by conducting multiple working sessions with SMEs to design accurate revenue recognition and FX logic—ensuring long- term clarity and sustainability of the solution.
In January 2025, Rocky Mountaineer's Oracle Integration Cloud solution successfully completed its hypercare phase. To ensure long-term stability and adaptability, Rocky Mountaineer engaged Novamodus for ongoing Application Managed Support (AMS), enabling continuous improvement and support as business needs evolve. The organization continues to grow and optimize its business functions as an active AMS client today.
