Ensuring the new system integrates well with existing infrastructure and meets the specific needs of municipal operations, such as financial management, public works, and citizen services, is crucial. Additionally, managing change and training staff across departments in a smaller workforce can strain capacity and delay adoption

Empowering Municipal Services with Smart Systems, Built for Tomorrow with Novamodus
The ERP implementation included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax Planning, Purchasing, Purchase Orders, Inventory, Project Financial Management and Fixed Assets. The impending implementation of Enterprise Municipality Suite (EMS) and for Property Tax and Utility Billing and integration with Oracle will enable the City to centralize billing operations, improve accuracy, and enhance service delivery for residents.
Starting in Spring of 2023, the City of Swift Current began its Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation, facing delays, of variying degrees that added to the complexity and challenges. Despite the setbacks, the strong and collaborative partnership enabled the team to navigate the adversity and continue progressing with the planned work. This resilience laid the foundation for long-term success and operational improvement.
Novamodus worked in close partnership with the City of Swift Current to address defects identified during user testing, streamline integration with the City’s third-party payroll system, and re-align project activities directed towards a successful go-live. Through collaborative problem-solving and adaptive planning, Novamodus helped establish a more stable, reliable, and efficient system foundation—positioning the City for long-term success.
In October 2024, the City of Swift Current’s Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation went live successfully. To ensure continued system optimization and alignment with evolving municipal needs, the City engaged Novamodus for ongoing Application Managed Support (AMS). Swift Current continues to grow and evolve as an AMS client today.
